If you can’t wait for Windows Phone 7 then there is a solution. A hacker called Jaxbot has created a Windows Phone 7 theme that runs on Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 phones. In addition to looking like Windows 7 Phone’s Metro user interface, Jaxbot’s theme also allows you to set phone, text, outlook, and people to a certain app, see upcoming appointments on lock screen, see information on live tiles and launch programs.

According to Jaxbot’s entry on forum.xda-developers the theme isn’t perfect. In the future though Jaxbot hopes to add more customisation options (background, etc), smoother animations/scrolling, the ability to rearrange icons, social networking integration and hubs.
