There’s been a lot of buzz lately of how the original iPhone hacker, Geohot had jailbroken the iPhone 4 but the bad news is, he’s not releasing it. A few days back, there’s also been news that there’s actually a jailbreak for the iPhone 4 by some people at the Dev Team but they’re deferring release until the next iPhone update to make sure that the jailbreak is not patched by Apple.
With all these news about jailbreak for the iPhone 4, it won’t be impossible to see an unlock for the iPhone 4 follow suit. Although here in UK, we’re blessed to have unlocked iPhone 4s for sale, it’s still nice if you have a carrier bought iPhone and have the freedom to use any sim with it.
So, before you splurge your money on some iPhone 4 unlock website, hold on to it because you might get scammed. If you wait until the end of July or early August, I’m sure we’ll be able to see a free jailbreak and unlock method for the iPhone 4 from the Dev Team.
