As of today, Symbian Guru will be no more as creator, Ricky Cadded aka The Guru finally calls it quits.

In his final post The Guru cited the catalogue of errors concerning the N97, the failure of OVI to chart in even Nokia employee’s hearts and the Symbian foundation’s clunky progress all as major factors in his decision to wind up the hugely successful Symbian blog, adding that he was ready to switch to an Android handset.

He is joined but fellow Symbian expert Dotsisx who also parts company albeit for a slightly different set of reasons, but nevertheless cites the tiresome nature of working with the Symbian platform.

It’s a shame to see them go as we’re heard of all kinds of interesting mobile news from team at Guru, so we wish them all the best in the future.

I can’t help but think that losing such hard core members of their fanbase is rather embarrassing for Nokia though, especially as the launch of their N8 is only just around the corner.

Bye Bye Symbian Guru, you will be missed!
