A new Samsung handset, currently known as the i5510, has been spotted at IFA, a technology event held in Berlin, Germany. The Froyo ran handset is rumoured to be released in the UK next month, and is likely to feature a catchier name.
It may not be the US-only 4G, but it looks like the Samsung i5510 could be a promising handset. It appeared in the Vodafone booth at the technology show, and impressed with its Android 2.2 software, 4-row QWERTY slider keyboard, 5MP camera, 3G and WiFi connectivity and MicroSD slot. It’s Froyo software will also ensure Flash support and a speedy handset.
It seems likely that Vodafone will hold exclusivity on the handset once launched, unveiling it’s first look within their booth at IFA.
Based on the success of the Samsung Galaxy S, this handset is set to be a hit. With a rumoured price tag of £165.00-£200.00, it’s certainly a cheap alternative.
We’ll keep you updated with details of the handset!
