Yes, if you’re longing to get your hands on the new Nokia in lime green you’ll need to get your N8 deals on Vodafone – as the network has secured exclusive rights to this colour.
The contemporary design of the N8 is one of its stand-out features; after all, it’s not every smartphone that has an anodized aluminium casing.
If you’re keen to go with a different network provider, though, you’ll be relieved to read that the blue, orange, silver white and dark grey colour options are still available.
Despite this colour exclusivity for Vodafone UK, there is still no word on the N8’s launch date. However, it is strongly anticipated that the smartphone will be released during Q3 – so surely next month? We’ll keep you posted on any developments.
Among its exciting features are a 12-megapixel camera, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI, Symbian 3 OS, and 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. So are you waiting patiently for the high-end feature-rich N8 to land? Or have you given up on waiting and opted for an alternative advanced smartphone? Let us know your thoughts and comments over in our Nokia N8 customer reviews page.
In other Nokia news, more pictures were unveiled online yesterday of the upcoming as-yet-unofficially-announced Nokia C7. This handset is expected to also run on the Symbian 3 platform and to house some pretty impressive features – although not on a par with the N8, more a slightly cheaper alternative. For example, it is expected to have an 8-megapixel camera inbuilt with a standard flash and there’s been no mention of Carl Zeiss optics.
