Joining the vibrant colour range of the Nokia N8 is a funky green edition which has now been confirmed for release by Vodafone, the Nokia N8 is set to be one of the biggest sellers for the manufacturer in recent times so we take an in-depth look at this powerful new device.
The green Nokia N8 has integrated social networking capabilities putting all contacts with their Facebook and Twitter feeds into one application, starting with the latest updated. The phone also has an HD camera and can be connected to a home cinema (television) system for HD playback also.
The handset has a 3.5 inch 16:9 (widescreen nHD resolution AMOLED touch screen display capable of rendering up to 16.7 million colours and offering an onscreen alphanumeric keypad and full keyboard for input. It also has a dedicated camera and volume keys and supports a capacitive stylus for even better input.

The Nokia N8 Green has a very powerful 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics lens and the user is provided with the full screen viewfinder with easy-to-use touchscreen parameters to aid when capturing images, along with the aids of the automatic focus, face recognition software along with the Xenon flash with automatic red-eye removal. Digital zooming is up to 2x for still images and 3x for video recording which is captured in HD quality (720p resolution).
The N8 has an HDMI connection which makes it possible to connect the handset to an HD compatible television or home cinema system for surround sound and HD video playback. The handset also features video editing software, support for videos made with Flash software and seamless streaming and browsing with YouTube.
Both integrated GPS and A-GPS receivers are integrated in the Nokia N8 allowing it to offer Ovi Maps for route planning along with free navigation services for both foot and car journeys. The digital compass and accelerometer work together meanwhile to ensure the widescreen display moves the navigation with the rotation of the handset automatically.

The phone has a full HTML, XHTML and WML web browser to produce webpages as they should be viewed with all text and full images, and the user can easily surf through with the touch control. The browser also supports Flash applications with Flash Lite 4, along with an RSS reader and visual history of pervasively visited webpages.
Email and messaging is provided through an easy-to-use email client supporting all major email account protocols for direct email to and from the handset, along with support for all common file formats as attachments. The phone also has a unified text and multimedia messaging editor, plus it can display text messages in a conversational view.
