Asus has announced the UK launch of its Eee Top ET2010 all-in-one multimedia PC.
It’s big in all the right places – namely the screen, which is a 20 inch multi-touch affair – and small in others, namely the profile, with the unit being just 1 inch thick. Or should that be 1 inch thin?
The 20 inch display is a 1200 x 600 resolution widescreen, and the unit has an HDMI port, plus SRS virtual 5.1 surround to ensure that any movie watching experience is pretty much as good as it gets on an all-in-one unit.
At the heart of this is an Intel Atom Dual Core D510 processor, which is juiced at 1.66GHz, backed up on the graphics front by a tasty Nvidia Ion solution.
The ET2010 also comes with 2GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, Windows 7, wi-fi, a webcam, and a DVD writer.
What’s more, the unit is tough, eco-friendly, and it does your dishes for you.
The toughness? That comes in the design, with a hard wearing, scratch resistant touchscreen.
The eco-friendliness? That comes from the low power consumption, which dips just under 20Wh. And the packaging is 100% recycled.
The dish washing bit? That was a small porky. Unfortunately the ET2010 doesn’t come with an attached, automated kitchen sink, but it has just about everything else.
And the price for this all-in-one? £620 to you, because Asus likes the look of your face.
